Design, art, and peach jumpsuits get us excited.
Andra studied Interior Design at Ryerson University, completing her bachelor in 2000 and in 2006 completed a one year studio in Monumental Art at the AKI in The Netherlands. She has worked for a number of architectural firms in Toronto, London and Amsterdam, and currently works as a designer in Toronto.
Her interests surround concepts such as thresholds, linguistic symbols and the simulacrum. Projects usually develop out of a need to examine thought patterns in a physical or concrete manner. The visual/aural product becomes a tool for communicating with others. Slight insertions and subtle eradications become interruptions to habitual movements. Recent projects have been exhibited at The Junction Arts Festival (Toronto), The Architecture & Design Museum (Los Angeles) and The Gladstone Hotel (Toronto).
Carrie also studied Interior Design at Ryerson University, completing her bachelor in 2005. She currently works as a designer in Toronto. She is happy to be working on this project to give something back to a community that has given her a lot of inspiration and fun. Recent projects have been exhibited at The Gladstone Hotel (Toronto).
Carrie and Andra will be helping with the installation and finishing touches of Edmond Place’s amenity spaces.
