Dennis Lin is an artist whose work relies heavily upon the influences of the natural world. Even within his process it can be said that much of the time situations are left to chance – be it, controlled chance. His work in various mediums including wood, metal and casting, pays homage to the harmony and strength of the forces of nature. Recognizing that our existence is derived from this brings humility and understanding of our evolution and path as individuals.
Recent projects and exhibitions include Documentation of a tree, Ocean IV Miami (2006); Touch Me: design and sensation, Victoria & Albert Museum, London (2005); La famille, La familia, La Famiglia, St. Regis Hotel, San Francisco (2005); Flocks-2, MGM Hotel, Las Vegas (2005) and Flocks-1, Lane Crawford, Hong Kong (2004).
Dennis is producing a chandelier for Edmond Place.
