Support PARC’s development of new affordable housing

Wow! It’s been only two years now working on PDA for EP and we are already having our first open house!  Come and see Edmond Place, the landmark supportive housing development in Parkdale (run by Parkdale Activity Recreation Centre).  This is where all the furniture we’ve been facilitating the creation of will be finding its new home.

Come and meet the designers, members of PDA, PARC members, PARC staff and all the wonderful people who have made this amazing project happen!

More info below the fold.

From PARC:

We have designed the evening so that you can drop by after work or join us after dinner.
Come and see the transformation of this 1913 Georgian 3 story, 12 unit apartment building at 194 Dowling Ave. that was later chopped into a 50 bed plus rooming house in the early 80’s, only to be closed in 1998 after a tragic fire left 2 tenants dead and the other 49 homeless due to the extent of the damage.

Learn about the programs, design features and how you can help complete this Parkdale legacy project.

Tickets are $10 at the door, with a cash bar, music, light refreshments, silent auctions & other giving initiatives and the opportunity to see this remarkable building before tenants start the move-in process of making Edmond Place “Home”, January 4th 2011.
